Oct 8th:

So today Stoney and I went and saw . I just have to say that it was really good!! It is rated pg and it's made by a Christian production company. It is a story about a couple trying to decide what to do about their failing marriage. The story also includes the characters path to finding Christ. I don't want to say anymore, cuz I don't want to ruin it. But if you haven't heard anything about it go to this website www.fireproofthemovie.com or just go and see it!!

Oct 7th:

Well we had quite an exciting weekend. First, we of course got to watch conference, which was great. I loved hearing all the inspiring words and music, it was wonderful. We have to watch conference on the computer, and I am so grateful that our internet worked properly. We have been having some problems with it over the last few weeks and this last week is when it finally worked without a hitch!! Hooray for that.

Moving on...Friday morning Stoney was outside working to clear a fallen tree. So I decided to be nice and take him some lunch. When I was on my way back inside I found...

Yes a cute little turtle!! Just another animal to add to the sighting list.

And since there was a fallen tree, we needed to have a bonfire. So Stoney invited all the guys and gals from the fire station and we had a fun hangout.

Stoney ended up making a pretty big fire. So we just sat around it and enjoyed the sight.

How come fire is so cool to look at??

All in all we had a fun weekend full of laughs, Wii and a great conference!!

Sept 23rd:

Well today has been quite an exciting day. It all started when I called and made a hair appointment! Yes I cut my hair, I will show pictures later, back to my story. Anyway, I was getting all my stuff ready to walk out the door when Stoney's pager went off. (Remember he is on the volunteer fire department.) There was a house fire and he needed to go. Well we only have one car! So he grabbed his gear, I grabbed my stuff and we jumped in the car. I was driving and we were flying down the road. It was a little exciting to be driving that fast and not have to worry about getting pulled over. But I was also a little nervous about what I would see when we pulled up to the house. We were almost there and we could see the smoke, so the house was definately a blaze. We pulled up and Stoney jumped out, then I pulled out of the way and grabbed my phone to take some pictures.

I know not very good quality but you can see a lot of smoke and some flames. So once Stoney was "off to save the day", I was on my way to my hair appointment which I was now 15 mins late for. But it was ok cuz once I got to the salon, I walked in and saw I was the only one there! The stylist said it had been really slow this summer, but it was starting to pick up.

I know it is a little different from anything I have gotten, but I really like it! Yes I got bangs and they still need a little work, cuz they keep parting, so hopefully in a couple days or so they will look really good. Stoney says I look like Ms. Swan from Madtv or Uma Thurman from Pulp Fiction! I know he's so nice!! And I do somewhat agree with him, because she didn't style it to have body or volume. So once I get to work with it and blow dry it more, I know it will look better. So let me know what you think. Stoney said likes the before better.

Also last Friday we went golfing with some friends. We had a lot of fun and got a little sweaty, but over all the weather was really nice, like mid 80's.

Stoney's first drive, it went to the left right into those trees you see in the background. So needless to say I laughed!

Then a couple of holes later he again hit his ball into the trees and had to go look for it.

Me, I just hung out in the cart.

The golf course was quite nice. The owners had just taken their farm land, cleared it and put down 18 holes.

The friends we went with Alan and Cherie.

Alan is on the volunteer fire department with Stoney and is going to be his roommate at the fire academy. Stoney & Alan golfed, while Cherie and I had a lot of fun driving the carts!

We had a really fun day full of laughs and lots of mosquitos!

PS, The fire was started by a spark that hit a bottle of gasoline and made it explode!

Sept 15th:

If you hadn't heard we celebrated Stoney's 29th birthday on Friday!! Yea I know 29!! So I asked Stoney what he wanted to do and he said he didn't really care. So we just ended up hanging out at home and watching the Ultimate Fighting marathon. Then I made him his birthday dinner of spaghetti and garlic bread. (That is what he wanted.) Levi & Molly joined us for cake later. Stoney was really excited at this point, because all he wanted all week was cake. That was until I wanted to take pictures.

As you can tell from his face, he was no longer excited about cake.

But he was a good sport and even blew out his 2 9 candles.

He got some great presents, cards, and texts. Thank you to all of you who sent them.

Also this weekend Stoney was out working in the yard and I was inside. Then all of the sudden Stoney called my name and said I had to come and see our new family. So I went down stairs and this is what I saw.

Yes those are frogs. They were so cute. Until they started climbing the stairs.

So then we took them outside and said our goodbyes.

Also another time Stoney was outside working, he ran inside, grabbed the camera and ran back outside. So naturally I followed. Stoney had discovered a spider, but this was not the ordinary spiders that we have find in the house.

Yes it was as big as his cell phone!! It was so disgusting!! I am so glad we found it outside, because I would have freaked if I found it in my house.

We also had a tornado warning all Saturday afternoon due to hurricane Ike. But don't worry we were kept safe and out of harms way. We only got some more rain and a wind strom at night. So the only damage was lots of leaves and sticks on the driveway Sunday morning.

All in all we had a fun relaxing weekend full of birthdays, ultimate fighting, wind and frogs!
